Instacart and Best Buy Launch Same-day Delivery of Consumer Electronics Nationwide

Instacart today announced a new nationwide partnership with Best Buy to offer same-day delivery from nearly all Best Buy locations across the U.S. Through the new partnership, customers nationwide can access a selection of Best Buy’s electronics and tech products for same-day delivery, including select laptops, TVs, home office essentials, headphones, tablets, gaming, smartwatches, streaming media players, small appliances and more.

As Instacart continues to play an essential role in households across North America, we’ve expanded with new and existing partners to offer greater selection to customers. In particular, as people settle into remote work and distance learning routines, we’ve seen increased demand for the same-day delivery of electronics on the Instacart marketplace. We’re proud to partner with Best Buy — the largest consumer electronics retailer in the U.S. — to help meet this demand and provide customers with even greater choice. Whether it’s a new computer monitor for a home office, a smartwatch to track activity or a slow cooker for the kitchen, we want to provide more ways for people to get the goods they need as quickly and safely as possible.

As part of our new partnership with Best Buy, we’re also excited to introduce our new Certified Delivery feature. The new feature gives customers access to a broader selection of high-value items not previously available for same-day delivery on Instacart, including top-quality bluetooth speakers, noise cancelling headphones, computer accessories and more. Designed to create a more seamless handoff experience for customers and shoppers alike, Certified Delivery tracks and confirms the delivery and receipt of orders with high-value products directly in both the customer and shopper apps. Best Buy customers with Certified Delivery orders will need to be home for their delivery and sign for their items in the Instacart app once they’ve received them. The new feature will roll out with additional retailers in the weeks and months ahead.
